Underdogs turn tables in upset Nodefa league matches
THE underdogs had their day in the Nodefa VW Community Trust Premier League at the weekend.
New City Stars (11th) set the ball rolling when they beat City Friends 2-1 on Saturday.
In both of the matches on Sunday, teams in the lower half of the log turned the tables on their highly ranked opponents. In the early match Manchester United (ninth) beat Eleven Stars (fourth) 2-0.
In probably the biggest upset of the season, Jamaican Stars beat log leaders Mbabala Young Stars 2-1 in the final match of the weekend.
Despite the defeat Mbabala have a five-point lead at the top of the log.

PE SUNDOWNS' hopes of winning the Nebfa Sedgars Premier League title suffered a setback when they suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of Boast Pirates on Saturday.
The defeat leaves Sundowns four points behind Dodgers who have a match in hand.
The log leaders were held to a surprise 1-1 draw by CCX Callies on Friday evening, but recovered the following day to thrash Dodgers 4-1.
Four points from their double-header sees Red City second, two points behind Dodgers.
They drew 1-1 with struggling City defenders on Friday and beat defending champions Real White City.
Relegation candidates Eastern Jumpers caused the upset of the weekend when they thrashed Bush Bucks 4-0.
Winter Rose kept their championship hopes alive with a 2-0 win over Boast Pirates, who failed to repeat their heroics of the previous day.
