An international team of Brazilian show- jumpers (all boys) competed against an SA team (all girls) at the nationals in a 110cm class. Josie Gerber, representing the Eastern Cape, had a good first round but, after swappinghorses with the Brazilians, had an unfortunate knock in the second round.
Eventing nationals took place at Inanda Country Base where Greyling took first spot in the 70cm class with a near-perfect crosscountry phase. Chantler came sixth in the 80cm class. For the second year in a row, EC riders received the Spirit Trophy.
