WITH the Pefa Premier League trophy heading for Central Acemates' cabinet, Callies and NMMU opened the door for Hearts to fill the runners-up berth when they dropped points at the weekend.

On Thursday, Acemates came back from 3-1 down to beat NMMU Madibaz 4-3 at the south campus.

The following day Callies came back from a goal down to draw 2-2 with Highbury. Callies squandered a penalty in the second half which would have given the defending champions maximum points.

Hearts thrashed KwaDwesi All Stars 4-1 to move into second spot.

Yesterday, Motherwell hammered PE City 13-2 at Victoria Park.

There were more goals at the Morningside field, where Warriors beat Forresters 7-4.
