EASTERN Province Kings coach David Maidza is confident his players are becoming a more solid unit with every game they play in the Currie Cup rugby First Division.
With five matches remaining before the semifinal playoffs, the Kings, after a slow start, find themselves in fourth spot, only three points off the coveted second spot that they are chasing.
There has been speculation that Saru may increase the size of the Currie Cup Premier Division from six to eight sides in a bid to continue the momentum the Southern Kings built during the Super Rugby campaign.
For this to happen, the Kings need to finish in the top two, something which is well within their reach, especially on the back of their 63-7 win over the Griffons at the weekend.
