Kings side boosted by old hands

George Byron

THE EP Kings have been bolstered by the return of several experienced players for their Absa Currie Cup First Division clash against the SWD Eagles in George tonight.

After slumping to two defeats in their opening three matches, the Kings cannot afford another loss if they plan to mount a challenge for Premier Division promotion at the end of the season.

Kings head coach David Maidza said he was pleased experienced players like Mpho Mbiyozo and Aidon Davis had returned to the starting line-up, following their debut Super Rugby appearance against the Sharks last week.

Maidza said Siviwe Soyizwapi would take Scott van Breda’s position at fullback, while Marlou van Niekerk would come into the side in the place of Wesley Dunlop, who was injured during the Leopards game.
