ZWIDE’S Ndzondelelo High were crowned the new champions of the Education Department Port Elizabeth district schools soccer league when they beat Walmer High 3-1 at the Wolfson Stadium last week.
Ndzondelelo received a walkover into the final of the tournament, while Walmer defeated Douglas Mbopa from Motherwell 4-0 in the semifinals.
Ndzondelelo will now face Uitenhage winners Molly Blackburn to determine the Nelson Mandela Bay regional winners.
The winning team will represent the region at a provincial soccer festival in East London next month.
All seven provincial regions will be represented by their winning schools at the festival where they will aim to be crowned Eastern Cape champions.
