CHEETAHS coach Naka Drotske said a try on the stroke of halftime by Johann Sadie had been crucial in setting up his team’s 34-22 Super Rugby win over the Southern Kings at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.
“That try was definitely the difference,” a delighted Drotske said after his team earned a bonus-point win which moved the Cheetahs into the Super Rugby playoff zone and set up a potential SA conference decider against the Bulls in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
“The Kings played well in the first half and they put a lot of pressure on us. But that try just before halftime brought us back. All credit to my players who stuck to the game plan and showed a lot of quality,” Drotske said.
