SOUTHERN Kings head coach Matt Sexton says his team have the firepower needed to stand up on Saturday to a formidable Highlanders pack that is expected to include Tony Woodcock and Brad Thorn.
The Kings must neutralise the tough Kiwi pair if they plan to erase the painful memories of their 72-10 drubbing at the hands of the Waratahs last week.
After suffering three straight defeats, the Kings are facing a major test of character against a determined Highlanders side at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
“Woodcock and Thorn come with a lot of test caps and they are pretty abrasive individuals,” Sexton said.
