Kings need to curb ‘Rebel with a cause’ Woodward

IF THE Southern Kings are to achieve their dream of a first overseas Super Rugby win, they will have to blunt the huge attacking presence of Rebels wing Jason Woodward in Melbourne on Saturday.

The 22-year-old Woodward started on the right wing against the Western Force last Saturday and scored two tries when the Rebels beat their Australian arch-rivals 30-23.

It was an impressive showing by Woodward and the Rebels believe they have unearthed a new strike weapon that can provide the springboard for a move up the league table.

Woodward, who won the Man of the Match award against the Force, will certainly pose problems for the much-vaunted Kings defence which has been severely tested during their opening six matches.
