In-form batsmen keep NMMU1 in charge

MECER NMMU1 openers Eddie Moore and David White both scored hundreds as the students completed a successful week with a crushing 289-run victory over Heatherbank in EP Super League cricket yesterday.

On Wednesday, NMMU1 beat their second side by eight wickets and on Saturday, they eased past SA Home Loans by six wickets.

Yesterday, White scored 139 and Moore 113 as NMMU1 posted 351 for two wickets. The total was boosted by a quick-fire 65 from James Price off only 27 balls. Heatherbank could only reply with a dismal 62 all out with Brad Dolley running through to take seven wickets for 12, including three in one over.

On Saturday, NMMU1 restricted Union to 153 all out with the in-form Devon Adams picking up another three wickets to add to his four against NMMU2.
