EP schools’ exodus to rugby feasts

THERE will be an exodus to schools campuses around the country this week as several Eastern Province schools prepare to test themselves in the traditional Easter rugby festivals in Gauteng and KwaZulu- Natal.
Uitenhage side Daniel Pienaar will travel to Johannesburg for the St John’s Festival, Grey High and St Andrew’s College will also be in Johannesburg for the KES Festival, while Nico Malan have been invited to the Kearsney College Festival.
All these festivals generally produce an exciting brand of rugby and draw thousands of spectators as some of the country’s top schools get into the swing of things.
Nico Malan will have a baptism of fire when they take on host school Kearsney in their first match on Thursday. Kearsney were impressive when they competed in the recent Grey High festival, going through their three matches unbeaten.
