Kings take on Namibia tonight

THE Eastern Province Kings will be hoping to get off to a winning start in the Vodacom Cup when they take on Namibia in their opening rugby match of the competition at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium tonight (7pm).
Although the Port Elizabeth side will take the field without wing Paul Perez and vice-captain Rory Duncan, who are both out with knee injuries, Milo Nqoro, who comes in for Perez, and Barend Pieterse, who fills the lock position left vacant by Duncan, are set to fill the positions successfully.
Former Pumas captain Hannes Franklin will take over as vice-captain and is looking forward to the challenge.
“It is a great privilege to be in a leadership role in a side that has so many leaders like the Kings. We will give everything on the field,” the hooker said.
The Kings aim to get their campaign off to a winning start, in the process sending out a message to show their readiness for-top flight rugby.
