Township TV coverage of SA games in tournament

CRICKET fans in Motherwell and Uitenhage will be able to watch ball-by-ball coverage of South Africa’s ICC World Cup matches at specially designated venues.
Cricket SA and Township TV have combined to take cricket to one of its biggest domestic audiences yet for the duration of the ICC Cricket World Cup.
In an initiative similar to those of the fan parks used for last year’s Fifa World Cup, an opportunity is being provided to fans who might not normally have access to live television feeds when the Proteas are overseas.
South Africa open their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in New Delhi tomorrow (11am) and it will be the first match to be broadcast live in 20 public viewing areas in townships around the country.
