Creditors and service providers are to be given a chance to learn about Nelson Mandela Bay’s new and improved supplier database.
The electronic central suppliers database (CSD) is already in operation.
Creditors and service providers have been invited to two separate sessions where they can learn more about the new municipal system.
The sessions tomorrow will be attended by Nelson Mandela Bay mayor Athol Trollip and officials from the national and provincial Treasury.
The metro’s chief financial officer, Trevor Harper, and political head of budget and treasury councilor Retief Odendaal will also attend.
Municipal spokesman Mthubanzi Mniki said the improved CSD would empower local businesses with supply chain processes and compliance issues.
A session will take place at the Uitenhage Town Hall on Wednesday between 9am and 4pm.Another session will be held at the Port Elizabeth City Hall on Thursday between 9am and 4pm.
