Letter: Prompt action on poisoning

I commend the Department of Education and the Department of Health for acting promptly in the case of schoolchildren who have fallen ill after eating government-funded lunch and the latest incident where Kei Road Primary School children were rushed to Bhisho Hospital after consuming spoiled government-funded food.

School nutrition programme service providers must be held accountable for delivering spoiled food to schools. This situation must be monitored extensively to ensure it does not occur again in the future.
