GAMROSE Cricket Club held a march on June 27 in Uitenhage against drugs and abuse in the community and in sport.

The march was organised by the club executive and players, as well as community structures. The aim of this awareness day was to bring the community and the sportsmen and women together to fight the abuse of drugs and to have more youth involvement in cricket.

The club is currently playing under the banner of Eastern Province, and wants to continue to play sports fairly and without the usage of drugs.

The players and executive thank the community who participated in the drug abuse awareness day and everyone who contributed to its success. We also thank the street cricket teams that participated so well in the games played.

The club invites all cricket lovers who are not part of a club as well as new players to join the club, and to come to play professional cricket.
