Don’t shoot messenger!

WHEN Helen Suzman highlighted the iniquities of apartheid and the suffering it caused, the Nats accused her of harming the country by publicising such matters.

Now we have Jacob Zuma criticising the Sunday Times for the photographs of the fatal attack on Emmanuel Sithole.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

I believe that it was the photographs of the cowardly attack, which brought home the full horror of the xenophobic attacks, and for that the press should be lauded, not criticised.
