TASK TEAM MUST TACKLE CORRUPTION
I fully agree with the contents of Monday’s editorial (“Mammoth task awaits ANC team”). However, the editorial should have been more specific in stating that unless the ANC deals decisively with the corruption element manifesting itself in the IPTS and extensively reported in The Herald, they it will not be able to remove the taint in the organisation. The task team must start with the officials who unethically accepted positions they are not qualified to hold and thereby taking decisions that are technically not sound, before dealing with the political masters. This will require that the task team constitutes a judicial inquiry into the whole project. Changing faces in the political arena will unfortunately be enough to remove the taint in the ANC regional image. Good luck ANC.
As long as Uitenhage doesn’t have its own municipality the “big guns” are here to waste our time.
COVERAGE OF CUNNINGHAM ACTIONS
Does the behaviour of a miscreant warrant front page news for three consecutive day, plus billboard headlines? Is your publication devoid of meaningful news? PE, a sunny place for shady people. Apologies to Somerset Maugham.

Brent Cunningham’s sister is right, have him checked out for a medical condition. Supplements playing havoc with his hormones.
Coward Cunningham allegedly beats up women and old men. Always gets bail only to transgress allegedly while on bail. Justice system sucks.
Brent Cunningham: is there more than we see? Father a teacher, he lives in a lower middle class area and Brent drives a BMW. Just asking.

APARTHEID TO BLAME?
Darren Keet is astonishingly poor as a goalkeeper. Our strikers need to wake up and take responsibility to score when the the opportunity arises.
I suppose apartheid is to blame for Bafana Bafana losing to Algeria in Afcon on Monday last night?
LIVE BY THE SWORD, DIE BY THE SWORD
“GANG war fears”: so what? If you live by the sword, you die by the sword. It’s a pity that innocent people are sometime hurt in the process.

NO WATER AT RETIREMENT VILLAGE
Cassia Gardens Retirement Village has no water! Another reason to vote out this useless ANC council!

WHY NO REFUSE COLLECTION?
What happened to the refuse collection on Monday in Walmer? Strike? No vehicles?
Refuse collection staff are on strike.

SECURITY GUARDS CARRY OUT INSTRUCTIONS
SECURITY guards have to deal every day with people with attitudes like PK.
Security guards carry out the instructions of their clients. They don’t make their own rules. Also who says that gaurd guard wasn’t provoked?
