ESKOM IN A CRISIS
CEO of ESKOM chief executive sheds light on seven years of of self-inflicted vulnerability. Brian Dames, pay back the money, pay back the R22-million R24-million. Love to know what Tshediso Matona’s worth has been put at. Now it’s up to super Cyril Ramaphosa to make light work of things. I can’t wait for his plans to see the light of day. But another shock is on the way: higher charges and a plea to use less of our product and pay more for it. I must try this in my business this year
STELLAR PERFORMANCE FROM DE VILLIERS
Well done, Russell Domingo and the Proteas. I just feel that our bowling attack will not be good enough to win the World Cup. Ryan McLaren is a player that who somehow makes a defference difference when needed. Why they did not select him only the selectors know.

GRAHAMSTOWN NEEDS SPECIALIST CARE
Little change in Grahamstown despite ms Pam Yako and her massive pay. Municipal phones still go unanswered, potholes are a daily hazard and grass is shoulder high in areas under city care. Rubbish piling in public spaces. Our town is very sick, dying. Ms Yako is not the doctor to save it. We need specialist attention.
FRESH FACES NEEDED IN ANC TASK TEAM
Mr President, are you putting the same old faces in on a gravy train? No no no, what you are doing is a waste of time. These people are not going to take us anywhere. Watch them, they are going to fight. We are hungry, we need jobs.
Jacob Zuma in a bid to rescue the ANC in the Bay recycles his rejects and expects good quality. This is not just a sign of desparation desperation, but of shortsightedness. A reject will always be that and nothing else. Let him try to use recycled paper for the loo, he will know the results.
Mbuyi Madaka, EFF EC
The appointment of an ANC task team to sort out the municipality is only an election ploy. The voters are not stupid and can see right through the ANC’s motives for “suddenly caring”. We welcome 2016 next year and an efficiently run DA metropole.
LEAK NOT FIXED
Municipalities want to save water. I reported a water leak in Mimosa Street, Blue Horizon Bay on Saturday the morning off 17/01/015 at 3am. They came later that morning and fixed it, then 45minutes after they left the water started leaking even more than before they fixed it. I called them again and they said: “We will send them back wright right away”. It was still leaking on Sunday. I try too contack tried to contact them at least six times from 2.54am till 3.12am on the18/01in the morning but no one picked up. No wonder they bring the big guns in too save the day. Will it help?

LIFE CHEAP IN NORTHERN AREAS
Life is cheap in the northern suburbs. Three murdered over the weekend and it only gets a minor mention on page 5.
BAIL FOR CHILD PORN ACCUSED
Plett sicko case: how on earth can they still grant something like that bail? Maybe so he can warn everyone else involved! They surely all know by now. Keep him locked up till they’re all arrested. Or let him out for the mob to deal with him.
After reading The Herald on Friday, 16/01, with the Plett paediphile paedophile case, Jacob Zuma on Eskom and a brave Max du Preez, I thought what a sick and sad society!
RACIST INCIDENT AT SHOP
To the writer of “Racism served up on Day of Goodwill”, I am sorry for your bad experience. I as a white person do not feel superior to anyone and had I been the one helped before you, I would have told the shopkeeper that you where were next in line and there before me. If only no one acted supremely we would have a more peaceful world.
Lwando Xaso, I was saddened to read of your experience in that ice-cream shop, but please do not paint all white people with that brush. The majority of them will wait their turn in a queue. Unfortunately there will always be dinosaurs in all sectors of South African society – “Kill the boer”, “One settler, one bullet”. Do not sink to their level but rise above them.
