LET me at the outset stress that I follow no religion but do believe there is a greater power than us.
I do believe that the Bible states “make no graven images” and I understand that the Muslim faith does not allow images of Mohammed because that was His instruction.
The point in both, I believe, was that the emphasis was to be on God not the messenger.
Christian faiths, especially the Roman Catholics, have disobeyed this, Muslims have not.
(Yes, Christians, I know that you believe Jesus is God!)
Surely any faith should be allowed to follow their beliefs without being denigrated?
Although the cartoons published do not constitute satire to my mind, I most emphatically do not agree with the armed responses. Je suis Charlie.
