Meeting Watson a dream realised

CARE Haven Psychiatric Centre is a non-profit welfare organisation. We accommodate 70 residents with a history of mental illness ranging from bipolar mood disorder to various forms of depression and schizophrenia.

On July 10 we heard that the EP Kings rugby team was across the road from us at The Grand Hotel, Port Elizabeth. Therefore one of our residents, Nicky, had a chance encounter with Luke Watson.

Watson is idolised by Nicky and to meet him was a dream come true. The empathy Watson showed was touching.

He posed for photos and even gave away a shirt. We just want the public to know what a big heart Watson has. Dianne Robb, director, Care Haven Psychiatric Centre, Central, Port Elizabeth
