Wish new vice-chancellor well

AS the BMF Nelson Mandela region we would like to congratulate Dr Sizwe Mabizela on his appointment as vice-chancellor and principal of Rhodes University effective this Saturday. We believe in the capabilities of Mabizela as does his academic community, and we wish him all the best in his tenure in leading Rhodes to new heights.

We are surely optimistic that more African students will gain access to Rhodes and other higher education institutions.

We also would like to express our gratitude to the Rhodes University council, led by Vuyo Kahla, who have made such a fitting appointment and thus believing in their own as Mabizela has been deputy vice-chancellor at Rhodes for some time now.
