Address water wastage

THE municipality has requested Bay residents to use water sparingly to help avoid a serious crisis. It should practice what it preaches.

This photo was taken at the Uitenhage sports complex. This urinal had been running full bore for the previous eight weeks non-stop as had the one on its right.

You can see from the staining that the water had been running for some time. I tried on a number of occasions to stop the flow but all to no avail.

How can this just go ignored by the caretaker and staff? Don't they care?

Our municipal powers should ensure all leaks are sorted before they enforce restrictions on residents.
