Do we care for those in our areas?

THE question is: do we care as Christians in the northern areas or the city? We keep quiet when a child of five years asks the neighbour for bread because she is hungry and instead he hurts her.

We take our faith for granted when shops in Aspen Heights and Cleary Park sells halaal meat and no other meat – we accept it.

We keep quiet when children stab teachers, but we are Christians.

We don't even know how to help our neighbours, when in trouble a child get mugged and hurt for his cellphones and as Christians we keep quiet. Some of my friends who are atheist says they go to sit in church for motivation, because on Monday Christians hurt people by shouting, swearing, there is no brotherly love and they chase children who beg for food away, sometimes with dogs.

So the question is: do we really follow Jesus and the scriptures in the Bible or do we just go to church to please? Come on, Christians, let us start to speak out now!
