Fracking is anti-green

IT IS sad to hear shale gas fracking referred to as green energy ("Transnet in search of extra power," Herald June 12).
This is so far from the reality and known facts of this disastrous method, it would be better to call fracking a "disgusting energy method".
One just has to look at American and British research into fracking, to see the far reaching poisonous effects the method has on this beautiful world of ours. I challenge you to dig deeper and do some research on the dangers of fracking.
Our minister of mining is 100% behind going ahead in South African's pristine Karoo. What a disaster that will have for our future generations.
