THE Netherlands proved again that they could win the World Cup and stamped their authority against Spain, who beat them in 2010 to claim the title.

The Netherlands have good quality players with speed and are very quick and fast with the ball and set pieces and they have a very good, solid backline and midfield.

The Spanish goalkeeper was exposed and that was an amazing win for the Netherlands.

I am tipping them to go very far in this competition.

I will not be surprised if Spain does not go further in this competition as their performance is below par and they are not the same team that won the World Cup in 2010. Our Bafana Bafana team also beat them 1-0 last year.

There are a lot of surprises in this competition.

I watched the opening game between Brazil and Croatia when Brazil was losing by 1-0 and they came from behind to win 3-1. The Japanese referee was not consistent as the second goal where Brazil was given a penalty was a dubious decision.

I am also looking forward to seeing one of the African teams winning their opening game and I am putting my money on either Nigeria or Ghana to make all Africans proud.
