Not Idamasa's opinion

I AM writing to distance myself from the letter by Rev Xolani Tengo headed "Fire Nkandla ministers" appearing in The Herald of June 2. At no time did Idamasa authorise Tengo to write such a letter – that is his opinion and not Idamasa's.

Idamasa has no right to dictate to President Jacob Zuma who he must deploy and not deploy as ministers, that would be arrogance at its worst. The president is the face of the ANC and the face of South Africa, and for that reason he is owed respect by all of us even those who do not agree with him.

I therefore disassociate myself from the sentiments Tengo is expressing. They are not mandated by Idamasa.
