Can still queue for others

I WOULD like to respond to Frank Atkinson, of Bluewater Bay, regarding queuing at the traffic and licensing centres ("Now you can only queue for self", May 12). Sir, I would like to correct your statement as it is incorrect and a bad reflection on the management of the traffic department.

It is not the case that everybody must queue for him or herself at all times. He states that I have banned people from queuing for their grandparents or children.

I am especially perturbed that you did not speak to me or contact me before publishing this misleading letter. I will never stoop so low as to disrespect elderly citizens like that and I will definitely not breach their rights to get help while waiting their turns.

I would like to be clear. Please note that opportunists such as Q4ME and all other such companies are banned and not private individuals assisting each other.

Atkinson's claim that even grannies, who cannot stand in any queue for an extended period, are also banned is incorrect.

Please consider the consequences of inaccurate information before releasing it into the public domain. You are welcome to pick up a phone and confirm whether or not you have the correct information or hearsay.
