REPLIES TO READERS’ COMMENTS
MZI Tyali, when the DA takes over the PE metro in 2016, the first order of business (like in Cape Town) will be a forensic audit, to root out all your corrupt ANC officials, tender fraudsters and all other mafia stealing from municipal coffers. Incompetence will be replaced with skills, and a municipal manager that is there for what he knows, not who he knows. Then watch PE start looking like a city again, not a grimy rubbish dump, like most ANC “run” municipalities.
ON Monday Lolly complained about a faulty street light. That’s nothing. I see your street light with three lights non-functional for 18 months and raise you a faulty water meter. Meter faulty for eight months and estimated accounts show the sewerage charge is 300% of the water consumed.

HOW DID PISTORIUS GET GUN LICENCE?
IF Oscar Pistorius had a mental disorder, how did he get a firearm licence for one, let alone six in waiting?

PRAISE FOR PSL WINNING COACH
PITSO Mosimane, my main man! Not only for your coaching skills but because you state unequivocally you are not motivated by the colour of your skin in this race-based SA. Took the interviewer by surprise.
RECOGNISE NURSES IN PUBLIC HOSPITALS
YESTERDAY’S article about the nurses’ awards refers. Why is it service honours only seem to go to nurses in private hospitals? I think this is unfair.

MY thanks to the doctors and nurses at Provincial Hospital urology out-patients department and P6 ward for their treatment and care over past 10 months. Working under undesirable conditions, a severe lack of staff and too many rude, uncaring patients, you do a stalwart job.
