Rather keep grievances within party

IT seems there are so many disgruntled members in the ANC, and some of them have resorted to negative stances, floor crossing and verbal insinuations. The call by Ronnie Kasrils to the constituency to abandon the elections and vote against the same party that has sacrificed men and women who were intent to "liberate" the people of Mzantsi, is a disgrace.

The stalwart of the liberation struggle is an embarrassment to this nation and it seems some people have quickly forgotten where this country comes from, the dark days of the apartheid era.

South Africa has since 1994 adopted a democratic constitution which allows the people of Mzantsi to express their views without fear or prejudice by another person or group. It is our human right to voice out about malpractice or misconduct, but it should be done in a manner that a person does not lose his dignity in the process.

Kasrils should have addressed his anxiety to the ANC national executive committee. He should not act in a manner that confuses the masses.

Such actions will eventually lead to anarchy and we at this time in our history with so much uncertainty before the elections do not need people to incite negative attitudes to our nation.

The spirit of our heroes and heroines of this land, our ancestors has been evoked by the actions of discredited members in our society and in the political arena. They have turned against the mandates that duly guide members to conduct their actions for the prosperity of this country, not to succumb to individual aspirations.

It is time we need to check within us that our goals are in accordance with the promotion of the welfare of our citizens or is it a matter of self-gratification that we aimlessly pursue through the political environment?
