Chiefs forge ahead

AMAKOSI proved to be too good for Pirates over the weekend, beating them 1-0. Amakosi remained on top of the PSL.

The match was a little bit boring during first half with Pirates dominating the match and they also had very good ball possession. During the second half Chiefs took the game to Pirates and a lot of scoring opportunities were missed, but at the end of the day Amakosi were rewarded with a nice corner.

This was converted with a goal that separated the teams. I take my hat off to Willard Katsande as he played his heart out despite getting a yellow card and he deserved to be the man of the match.

He scored a very good goal.

I saw Pirates' No1 goalkeeper challenging the referee as if there was a push, but this was a clean goal and the corner was well taken. Unfortunately Katsande outjumped the Pirates back line and put it in the net to clinch a well deserved win.

I am confident Chiefs will make history and defend the PSL title as we only need at least four wins from the remaining games.
