Thumbs up for Aussie players

LAST weekend my son was given the wonderful opportunity to be net bowler for the Australian cricket team on the day prior to the T20 match that was supposed to beplayedon Sunday.

It was during the Saturday morning session that he received a really hard ball on the hand from the Australian player Glenn Maxwell.

I must compliment the players as well as the coaching and medical staff of the Australian cricket team in the manner in which they dealt with my son. Fortunately the injury was nothing more than a badly bruised hand.

Further, Maxwell contacted my son to find out how he was doing and arranged to meet with him at the ground on Sunday where he presented him with an autographed bat. What a wonderful gesture. Thanks to the Aussies for their sportsmanship and to Maxwell for your kindness.
