Bad taxi driving mars PE image

I SPENT the weekend of February 14 to 16 with my family in a lovely beachfront hotel. We climbed the Campanile, watched a great movie and enjoyed some fantastic restaurants, but unfortunately for me, all the goodness was steadily undone by the chaotic taxi drivers.

I witnessed taxis stopping in the left lane of traffic, switching on their hazard lights and either dropping off or picking up a client.

I saw one taxi in Summerstrand stop on the curb (in the road) between the beachfront drive and a busy road leading to Walmer. This very nearly caused a major accident.

I also watched a taxi stop at a red robot and after the initial traffic travelling across the intersection had passed, the driver couldn't wait for the robot to turn green and just drove straight through the red robot! Come on PE, this really is chaos and I will stay away until the metro/traffic police implement some sort of control over these idiots.

I never saw a single traffic vehicle in Summerstrand from 1pm on the Friday to 10am on the Sunday. Please get your house in order before you lose more PE fans.
