Elephantiasis relief remedy

I REFER to your article about the girl with elephantiasis ("Little girl's disease burden," February 18).

Teacher Ethel Valentine, after whom the school administration building in Sutton Road was named, had the same problem with both her legs.

I suggest that she uses the treatment my mother administered to her children – cod liver oil.

It can be bought in capsule form.

I had to use it to reduce a swollen left arm which gave me terrible pain, necessitating injections to alleviate it.

The cod liver oil also stops abnormal skeletal growth (rickets) in growing children.
