Too much metro politics

I KNOW that there are plenty of lazy or ineffective members of staff at the municipality.

However, there are also lots of "could be" good people. When the deputy mayor realises that the greatest demotivator in the metro is the political meddling that has gone on, only then will he realise what the root cause is. Trying to shift the blame for non-delivery onto staff who have not been allowed to do their jobs properly because of that meddling, is just a clumsy way of trying to shift the blame away from those who caused the problem in the first place.

It seems the election campaign is really hotting up and any straw to clutch at, or angle for political spin that can be invented in an effort to deflect the reality, might suffice.
