Herald coverage moves mountains

DEAR Herald team, thank you for your coverage ("New look at website on initiates", February 18) via Katherine Child.
I have just received the interim outcome of the Film and Publications Board (FPB) team – see on ulwaluko.co.za – in which they reaffirmed the earlier decision.
The Congress of Traditional Leaders of South Africa (Contralesa) has contacted me shortly afterwards to request for a meeting to discuss a way forward, which I am very happy about.
As stated in my letter of defence, I will be willing to take the pictures offline if they come up with an adequate plan to curb deaths and mutilations.
Media is influential in agenda-setting.
