Dumping not in ward 35

I , ANNE du Plessis, as the councillor of Ward 35 have noticed via SMS chirps in the Herald of Friday January 31 and Monday February 3, complaints about the illegal dumping in the West End area. The complainant was LJ.

I went personally to Rensburg Street and also along the perimeter of Dower College and I could see the dumping, but it was not in my ward. Remember, the Northern Areas are demarcated into wards managed by their respective councillors.

Dumping is illegal in any area but there are certain neighbours who do not speak to their friends who dump rubbish in other neighbourhoods.

I recommend people take photos of these perpetrators and report them to the NMBM.
