De Lille a party hopper

IN his letter titled "Metro needs strong leadership" (January 27) Bill Stephens mentions Patricia de Lille.
She has been like a chameleon in politics, from the PAC to her own party and now the DA.
Her spokesman, Solly Malatsi, has been nominated for some top position. My experience of him is that he is a typical spin doctor and did not want to answer questions about the overseas visits last year by De Lille paid for by the ratepayers of Cape Town.
The money for these costly visits could have been better spent in the metro where there are complaints about limited funds for other worthy projects.
