Doggy do mars beach walk

I HAD the opportunity to take a trot along Port Elizabeth's magnificent beachfront – wow, what a lovely stretch of sea and beach you have there.

The one thing that surprised me though is the apparent low esteem your dog-walking population has for your tourism, city and its general lack of mutual social respect. Dog poo everywhere.

What a pity that Port Elizabeth's dog-owning population is allowed to go to the beach and leave their dogs' poo all over the public open space.

Is there another city in South Africa where one group is allowed to leave their poo in public without sanctions? It would be so lovely to walk your tourist spots without the sight and smell of poo everywhere, and I hope this could happen.
