Death robs us of great talent in Zondi

I WAS deeply amazed to hear of the untimely death of Eddie Zondi. His death brought a dark cloud to South Africa, especially to the entire media fraternity and Metro FM listeners.

In God, we know if there is a dark cloud, a silver lining always prevails. That silver lining is someone else will fill Eddie's shoes in the long term, although I know Eddie was unique in what he was good at and it is going to be difficult for Metro FM now to find that someone.

I wish strength, hope and power to survive during this difficult time to the Zondi family, relatives, Metro FM, the media fraternity and the entire South African listenership.

I write this with pride that I have listened to you every Sunday afternoon for more than seven years now. Eddie, rest assured that you have touched many broken souls and made them solid through your soul-searching music and golden voice on Sundays.

To this day, many relationship and marriages have become solid, progressive and firm because of you and I know that to you it was more than a job but a God-given talent to be behind that mic.

Death has robbed us again of another talented person. I will always remember your voice every Sunday. Use your talent in heaven.
