Fikile way off mark

I AM very much dismayed and disappointed at Fikile Mbalula's remarks in Tembisa, when he said that the EFF and other political parties were formed out of anger and that the ANC is indestructible.

If I may remind him and others who share the same thoughts; they fail to understand the mere fundamental struggle for justice.

It was anger that moved Mahatma Ghandi to rebel against British domination in India. It was anger that moved Martin Luther King to rise up against segregation policies of black people in the US. It was anger that moved Steve Biko, Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo and Tsietsi Mashinini to take apartheid head on.

It was the very same anger that moved Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Helen Suzman, many civil rights movements and the masses to destroy apartheid in South Africa.

In Libya, Muammar Gadaffi was overthrown by the Libyans, despite the fact that he liberated Libya. Food for thought.
