Fashion focus insensitive

WITH reference to your article published on February 14 ("Fashion police left seeking a coverup"), written by Pearl Boshomane, Andile Ndlovu and Lauren Mulligan about the "fashion police" at the president's state of the nation address.

I am totally aghast as to why this trashy piece of literature was ever written or published in the first place.

I am most certain there is content that is far more newsworthy than this load of utter garbage.

This country is in so much trouble and people are actually writing, and in fact being quite derogatory, about what Lindiwe Mazibuko, Patricia de Lille and Helen Zille were wearing!

How very superficial and completely irrelevant.

Perhaps the writers can focus on the real issue – that of the joke of the nation (Mr No 1 himself) once again trying to desperately paint himself in a good light and failing dismally. Thanks JZ, but many of us see right through your antics and outright lies!

Perhaps there should be more interest in the opinions of the above ladies.

It is these ladies after all who will hopefully be taking this country forward. Their intellect and opinion is far more relevant and appropriate to the gathering than what they were wearing!

I'm certain they would be most happy to affirm their presence was not to compete with the latest fashion trends!

Good grief – get some depth already! You looked great ladies!

Keep up the excellent work!

I think these writers owe these ladies a written apology!
