Give me back what I paid in rates

TO the municipal (mis)manager, Ndlambe Municipality, Rolly Dumezweni:

I own a vacant erf in one of the more affluent Cannon Rocks extensions, which I have been trying to sell for the past five years. The estate agent appointed to market the property informs me that potential buyers are not even willing to view the property, let alone submit an offer.

Why, you might ask? Well take a very careful look at the photo attached!

See if you can spot the problem. If you can’t, please let me know and I will gladly point it out to you.

To think that I pay the Ndlambe Municipality rates and taxes for this sterling example of maintenance (I am being sarcastic in case you missed it) makes my blood boil. Seeing as we are paying for a service that is not being honoured, I trust that you will reimburse me at least three years’ worth of rates and taxes, Mr Dumezweni?

Please will you be so kind as to forward a credit note on to the writer (monthly compounded interest can be calculated at prime please).

I am ashamed to own property in this extension.
