Owner of errant dog says it opens gate

IN response to Juanita Horne’s letter about the large dog in Kinnersley Street, Newton Park (“Watch out for large dog that chases cars”, The Herald, June 27), this dog lives in First Avenue, and is purposely allowed out very morning and evening to do his “business”. The dog (Bully) is a menace to all passersby, cars, bikes etc.

Our maid once had to phone us from the corner as she was afraid to walk past him. On Sunday mornings one is woken by the hooting of cars as they try avoiding him.

We have spoken to the owner of the animal numerous times and she claims the dog lets himself out through the gate.

Juanita can contact me if she wants further information in this regard.
