O’Connor slates Rolling Stone over Kim cover

getimage (3)OUTSPOKEN Irish singer-songwriter Sinead O’Connor has called for a boycott of Rolling Stone magazine after it placed reality TV star Kim Kardashian on its cover.

In an expletive-laden post on her Facebook page, O’Connor said “music has officially died”.

“What is this **** doing on the cover of Rolling Stone? Music has officially died,” she wrote.

“Who knew it would be Rolling Stone that murdered it? Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh can no longer be expected to take all the blame. Bob Dylan must be ******* horrified. #BoycottRollingStone”.

Many people who commented on the post agreed. Lily Hoshi wrote: “Rolling Stone hasn’t been a serious music mag in a long time, but yeah, this cover choice is extra annoying.”

But others disagreed. Morgan Mcdonald wrote: “Let’s not pretend this is the first non-musician or even first reality star to be on the cover . . . Get over yourself.”
