A WOMAN has been given permission by a judge to file for divorce from her elusive husband via a Facebook message.
The ruling in New York reveals that Victor Blood-Dzraku has only been in touch with his wife Ellanora Baidoo through the networking site and phone calls.
As a result, Baidoo has now been allowed to serve her husband with divorce summons through Facebook messaging.
The move will be repeated once a week until it is acknowledged by Blood-Dzraku or for three consecutive weeks.
Baidoo’s lawyer said the ruling was made by Manhattan Supreme Court Judge Matthew Cooper.
Attorney Andrew Spinnell said the couple, both from Ghana, married in a civil ceremony in 2009. But the relationship began to fall apart when Blood-Dzraku went back on his promise to have a traditional Ghanaian wedding.
According to court papers, he refused to make himself available to be served.
