Zim man jailed for impersonating a vet

A man has been jailed in Zimbabwe for pretending to be a vet and vaccinating dogs with black tea, the independent Newsday reported on Tuesday.

Luckmore Mukomobore, 37, charged farmers US3 for what he said was a "compulsory" dog vaccination service.

He told farmers in the eastern Marondera farming district that he was a veterinary officer, according to the report.

It was not clear how many dogs he injected with black tea, and whether they suffered adverse effects.

He was reportedly sentenced to 12 months in jail for fraud.
