Sacramento Trail whale

The remains of a male adult humpback whale washed up on the rocks on the Sacramento Trail yesterday.
Schoenmakerskop resident Melissa Riordan said the remains were between Gordon’s Beach and ‘Dead Donkey Bay.’
“The head of the carcass is severely damaged and a few baleen plates have also washed up about 100 m further, Riordan said.
She said if members of the public are coming out to see the carcass it would be great if they can bring some black bags with them to pick up trash along the way.
