BULLETS flew, a captive was taken and a large amount of jewellery and cash seized in a brazen professional hit by armed robbers in a sleepy hollow Langkloof town early yesterday.

In scenes reminiscent of a Pulp Fiction movie, a Kareedouw police officer was shot in both legs as he tried to thwart the gang of four’s orchestrated attack on a service station during which they held an armed response officer captive, threatened staff and eventually managed to break into a safe with an angle grinder.
