R30k reward offered in student death case

Humewood detectives  are offering a reward of up to R30 000 for information  which leads to the arrest, prosecution and sentencing of the person responsible for the  murder of NMMU student Ajimudin Asadullah in August this year.

Second-year computer science and applied mathematics student Asadullah Ajimudin, 19, died after being savagely beaten with a cricket bat inside his flat in his Ben Viljoen Street home in Summerstrand.

Ajimudin had been living in a back flatlet of the property for about month at the time of the attack. He was found unconscious in the flatlet and taken to hospital where he later died due to severe injuries from the attack.
